Tree removal may be considered when the tree is either diseased, decayed or simply outgrown its location. In any case, we are able to provide a full removal service leaving no debris or waste.

Sectional dismantling is the separation of a tree in manageable sections with the use of lowering ropes and slings. It is used in situations where space is limited, and everything must be guided down into the drop zone to avoid any damage to the property. All branches will be cut off first. Large limbs will be lowered from the crown using lowering ropes and the trunk will be removed in sections and dropped in the drop zone.

Straight felling is where a tree is cut from the base and allowed to fall to the ground in a controlled manner. The straight fell of larger trees is usually carried out in forestry work or properties with enough space, but smaller trees can be straight felled safely in most gardens and properties. A directional-notch is cut out from near the base of the trunk and in the desired direction before making the back cut through to the hinge. We can utilise ropes, wedges or a forestry winch to assist the fall.

The Process

  • Conversation with the client to establish work requirements

    Site walkaround to agree on details and specifics of the site (Including site access)

    Assistance with (TPO) Tree Preservation Order/ Conservation Area(s) application submission (if appropriate)

  • Assess the site for hazards relating to the trees, terrain, other operations

    Assess the overall weather conditions for the scheduled work

    Allocate responsibilities to the team members for the planned work

    Assess public access safety for any potential concerns

  • Look for tree defects, decay, heavy lean, or any other characteristics of the tree that may affect the felling and removal plan

    Check the surrounding trees for interlocked branches, dead tops or branches that may fall into the work area

    Determine what can be felled safely and plan the felling cuts

    Place any required public safety notifications (where identified as a concern)

  • Applying professional cutting techniques for safe, accurate, consistent results

    The team coordinate processes to remove and process the tree ready for transport

  • Initial client inspections of works carried out
